Tai Chi Chuan

Tai Chi is a wonderful way to relax and energize.

Tai Chi is a practice for health and wholeness, a moving meditation and spiritual practice, and a martial art. Each “form” is a series of low impact, slowly flowing movements which begin with the breath.

While meditative and calming, Tai Chi is also energizing and builds core strength and stability. It promotes mental and physical balance. It is safe and enjoyable to learn and do, with many well-documented health benefits.

For example, studies have shown that Tai Chi can benefit everyone, including people with arthritis, high blood pressure and fatigue. Practicing Tai Chi increases range and ease of motion and self-confidence.

Tai Chi creates physical and psychological integration and well-being and a more centered and harmonious way of experiencing life.

Tai Chi Can:

  • Reduce stress:  (regulate blood pressure, reduce anxiety, improve sleep)
  • Increase strength, energy and sense of well-being:  (reduce fatigue and depression)
  • Improve flexibility, balance and coordination:  (prevent falls; increase self-confidence and control)
  • Help with weight control
  • Help reduce pain
  • Improve memory and focus
  • Cultivate mindfulness and self-acceptance
